Closed on Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

The Tavern is open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Remise is open during holidays and weekends.


De Barak is a kiosk outside the fortress and you can visit it without an entrance ticket.

June to September: Daily from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
October to April*: Saturday & Sunday from 12 noon to 4 pm
May*: Saturday & Sunday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

* During the autumn, Christmas, spring and May holidays, the Barak is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Guided tours (also outside opening hours) on request only.
Other times and/or prices may apply for events.

Ticket prices 2023

You need an entrance ticket to visit the fortress, the castle and/or the terrace of the Taveerne or the Remise.

Adults from 13 years € 15.50
Children 4 to 12 years € 11.00
Children 0 to 3 years free

Wheelchair rate with access to the fortress, Tavern and the permanent exhibition: €9.50
The castle itself is unfortunately not accessible for wheelchairs due to steep stairs.

You can pay with pin and with the most common credit cards. Parking is free. When entering the fortress, the Loevestein Visitors Conditions and the corona house rules apply.
